A secure line between your AI assistant and your ATS
MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is the open standard AI assistants use to work with other software on your behalf. Crumblelead has an MCP server built in.
Once you connect, Claude or ChatGPT can look things up and make changes in your workspace when you ask, instead of you copying details between the two. Think of it as giving your assistant a login to your desk that only ever sees what you can see.

Copy your workspace address
In Crumblelead, open MCP & API and choose Let AI do your admin. Pick your assistant and copy the address.
Add it to your assistant
In Claude, add a custom connector under Customize, then Connectors. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode and create a plugin with that address.
Authorize, then just ask
A Crumblelead window opens. Sign in as usual and click Authorize. Your assistant can now work with your desk.
Using Claude Code, Cursor or another tool with a settings file? Create an access key on the same page and paste the ready-made command or snippet. ChatGPT needs a Plus plan or above for Developer mode.

Is it included in my plan?
Yes. Connecting Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client is part of the one Crumblelead plan, including your 14-day free trial.
Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT account?
You need your own Claude or ChatGPT account. Free Claude plans can add one custom connector. ChatGPT needs Developer mode, which comes with Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.
What can it not do yet?
Through MCP your assistant cannot send emails, book meetings or set reminders in Crumblelead, and notes go on candidates rather than clients. It can still draft emails for you to send yourself. Crumble AI, the assistant built into Crumblelead, can send emails after you review them and add events to your calendar.
Will it change things without asking me?
Your assistant shows each Crumblelead action it takes, and Claude and ChatGPT let you approve actions before they run. Deleting a record is possible, so read the action before you approve it.
Where does my data go?
Crumblelead only shares what your assistant asks for and you are allowed to see. Once it reaches Claude or ChatGPT, it is handled under the terms of your account with them. Crumblelead never trains AI models on your data.
How is this different from Crumble AI?
Crumble AI is built into Crumblelead with nothing to set up. MCP is for people who would rather work from the assistant they already use. Many teams use both.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Open API keys & connected apps in Crumblelead and click Disconnect next to the app. Its access stops straight away. You can reconnect whenever you like.
