Using Crumble AI

Crumble is the AI assistant built into Crumblelead. You talk to it in plain English and it works with your real candidates, jobs and clients. It is for any recruiter who wants to move faster through everyday admin and get answers without clicking around.

Crumble is already inside the app, so there is nothing to set up. If you would rather work inside Claude or ChatGPT instead, see Connect Claude to Crumblelead with MCP.

Where to find Crumble

Full page: click Crumble in the left sidebar to open the assistant with your recent conversations.
Quick chat: click the Open Crumble chat button in the top-right of any screen to chat without leaving the page.

Chatting with Crumble

Open Crumble from the sidebar or the top-right chat button.
Type your request in the box (for example, "find candidates for the Finance Manager role" or "summarise my pipeline"). You can also click one of the suggested prompts such as Find candidates for a role, Summarise my pipeline, Draft a client email or Match candidates to a job.
Crumble replies, often with buttons or a short form. For example, it may show candidate cards, or a Review & Send Email form before anything is sent.
Confirm any action it asks you to. Sending emails and recording placements always ask you to review first.

To share a CV or job description with Crumble, use the + button in the message box to add photos and files.

Match candidates to a job

Crumble can compare your candidate database against a job and score the best fits.

Open a job, then select the AI Match tab.
Crumble scores candidates and lists the strongest matches, with a short summary of each one's strengths, concerns and gaps.
Click Add to pipeline on any match to add that candidate to the job.

For the best results, give the job a proper description and requirements. If a job has very little detail, or a candidate was only just added and is still being processed, AI Match will tell you and show nothing until there is enough to work with. It only shows genuinely strong matches, so an empty result usually means there is not a close fit yet.

Tidy up job text with AI

When you paste rough notes into a job field, use Structure with AI to turn them into a clean, formatted description. It reorganises the text you give it rather than inventing new requirements.

Who can use it and any limits

Crumble is available to everyone on your team. It only works with the workspace you are in, and it follows your role, so it will not do anything you are not allowed to do.
Crumble needs an active workspace subscription. If a subscription lapses, Crumble is unavailable until it is renewed, even though the rest of the app may still be readable.
Crumble sticks to recruitment. It will politely decline questions that are not about your work.

FAQs

Does Crumble change my data without asking?
No. It shows you what it plans to do, and actions like sending an email or recording a placement need your confirmation first.

Why can't a colleague open Crumble?
The most common reason is an inactive subscription, which switches Crumble off for the whole workspace.

Can Crumble search by meaning, not just keywords?
Yes. Ask for something like "candidates with aviation experience" and it will find related profiles even if they do not use those exact words.
